Typical brick and mortar book store. Starbucks inside. Convenient location with parking.
I really miss books; and with the Internet consuming the already dwindled time that people used for reading, a good bookstore is rapidly finding it's way to becoming a cute 'wiki' page served up on The Internet Archives between the Commodore-64 and Al Gore for our increasingly attention deficient offspring to briefly admire while surfing American Pop-Culture. This one is pretty good though. Two floors, fairly nice atmosphere and lots of miscellaneous merchandise, but better title selections (in tech anyway) than surrounding competition. Be prepared to walk a fair distance since most parking is slightly remote.
Barnes and Noble is one of very few, franchise, brick and mortar stores left. They have a very large selection of books that don't show up in the electronic stores. There are other forms of media available as well as in-store specials. There's something special about going into a book store and physically seeing the hard copy books and walking the shelved aisles. It is a unique and passing experience. Barnes and Noble keeps this experience alive in a diminishing market. I don't find them to be much different from other large chain bookstores, but they have all thinned out recently, and it's nice to see them here and there. I like the smaller and rarer individually owned bookstores as well.
Love to touch real books and discover hidden gems, such as vynil records and how to packets. Go have a cup of coffee/ tea and spend some time browsing.
A great Barnes and Noble location. They could update their seating and have more of it. Love being here.
