Only 3 stars because of the parking. Otherwise would have given it 4. It is more of an upscale shopping area, not counting the office supply store and Best Buy. It does have a Trader Joe's. The restaurants range from expensive to moderate.
Easy highest access and proximity to some of Charlotte's best neighborhoods along with the nearby Target department store and ABC store make this a great shopping destination.
This place has more great stores than any other place I've seen. Just wish I didn't have to walk in the cold. Buts its such a great place. More stores than I can count and great deals
The hours for each retail or business is varied as this is an outdoor/open air shopping center.
The best part is that there is access to the walkway along the Greenway.
There are a bunch of great places to eat and shop.
Parking can be a bit of a madhouse on the first two floors closer to the Trader Joe's or Best Buy but parking near the Marshall's or Staples is usually easy. Spots are a bit small for larger vehicles.
**As this is a very compact parking structure WITH SEVERAL LARGE ELEVATORS TO ALL FLOORS, easiest parking is on the 2nd and 3rd floors.**
The Metropolitan also has several floors of condominiums located above retail.
Located in Midtown Charlotte, Metropolitan is an [outdoor] retail center. A variety of restaurants, both full service and fast casual, boutiques, hair salon, New Dominion Bank and major retailers such as West Elm, Marshalls, Best Buy and Staples make Metropolitan a great destination for shopping and dining.
Horrible parking. Pedestrians think they're immune to cars. Drivers in the parking deck think they're at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. You really have to want to go to one of the stores to brave this place.
