Great place to have an outdoors event or play with the family!
Not as scary as everyone makes it out to be... great area and nice people
Some people say this area is scaring I have not witnessed that. However when we visited the area it was a little murky but it wasn't that bad. A week after us visiting West Charlotte there was a homicide shootout. So it's safe to say we dodged that bullet.
WC Park a wonderful place for family and friends to attend .. The building on the property is newly renovated and provides many opportunities for programs and services.
It's University Park's hidden secret. Many people travel to the spray ground and play grounds at other parks that are crowded and kids can't really enjoy the freedom of playing freely. West Charlotte Rec center's spray ground and play ground is usually filled with a few of the neighborhood children. There is also a basketball court and a small shelter with 2 picnic tables to enjoy while the kids play. West Charlotte Recreation Center has open gym to play ball and a professional weight room and workout equipment. The staff led by Charles is welcoming and friendly. Its just an overall great place to hang out.
