I love living at University Walk! It is very affordable with all of the amenities that are included. Maintenance is always done in a timely manner and the grounds are well kept. The community assistants are very helpful and friendly. The only complaint that I have is the varying reliability of the printing.
I lived here for two years. I made the mistake of resigning my lease after living here for only a few months. If you like dealing with incompetence and receiving charges for things out of your control, despite always paying rent and utilities on time or early, then this is definitely the place for you!
UWalk is the best place to life off-campus. It's conveniently across from campus, so you save more money by not having to purchase a commuter pass. Office staff is friendly and willing to help. The roommate process might seem like it doesn't work but they do a fantastic job matching with people just like yourself. It's the cheapest around with the most benefits.
Poorly managed. They will hit you with erroneous charges upon moving out as an attempt to make an extra buck. Cleaning charges for things that weren't clean upon move in. Maintenance entered our unit multiple times and for the most part they were great. However, there were times when they entered and their work resulted in carpet stains that WE were charged for. We requested to the office that it be noted that it was not our doing, without success. There was no walkthrough with an employee of the property upon move out as we were required to sign a form saying the walkthrough would be completed after move out. I do not recommend living at this property.
The staff is rude. Very unprofessional when answering questions. You can never talk to a full time staff member when you have a serious issue. The part time team members need a crash course on customer service. The matching roommate process needs to be revamped or done by someone who actually cares. The rooms are dark with no natural sunlight. Not up to date, definitely paying more for less. The proximity to school is the only upside.
