The replacement card arrived on Friday 11/17 and upon activated the card I tried to use it in a restaurant but I was told the transaction was denied. I called the customer service then found out the replacement card was CLOSED before it even reached my house. Yes you read that right, one of your BoA associates decided it was a good idea to CLOSE A CREDIT WHEN IT WAS ON AN UPS TRUCK on its way to your customer.
I would like to personally thank Bank Of America for the theft of $1515.00 dollars. They have truly captured the heartfelt experience of not being a safe place for the common man to entrust his hard earned finances. They have done an outstanding job at proving their incompetence with handling a persons financial security. I would genuinely like to commentate them on being an embarrassment to not only this country and the capitalist infrastructure it was built upon. But also having a proven track record that the safest place your money can be kept, is under your mattress. If you are looking for an unstable corporate institution that has only its own financial interests at hand. I strongly recommend Bank Of America.
Since June 2017, I've had to close down and reopen my credit card account due to fraudulent charges and it is getting annoying and ridiculous. For the last two, I've limited the credit card usage to my local Costco and one gas station but the fraud charges are still coming. I asked the fraud department to investigate which merchant is the cause of this but I am not getting any useful information. The typical answer is: It's complicated and it takes time.
So the bottom line is here I am, almost a week after the initial incident started, I am still without a card and without an estimated arrival date. Again I would like to ask you, is this your way to treat a Preferred Award Platinum Honors customer? If so then please let me know because there is a Chase branch office right down the road from my house.
Not satisfied with this company service. Full of unpleasant experience.
I am an attorney trying to recover $6850 in unauthorized withdrawals from my client's account. I called Bank of America in an attempt to get a mailing address for its Fraud and Claims Division. I had to work my way through 3 or 4 people and only after exactly 59 minutes, 58 seconds, was I able to obtain the address. It is easier to sue Bank of America than to communicate with it in any meaningful way.
After talking to one of the supervisors on Friday night and exhausted all options to reactivate the card I have to settle for a new card to be mailed out to me overnight on Monday 11/20 and I should receive it on Tuesday 11/21. Today, 11/21, after waited a whole day without getting notification from UPS I decided to call customer service again on tonight to check the status of the package. Then I was told the card was mailed out but it went out via regular mail instead of overnight like I requested and was promised. Again, after exhausting all possible options I settled for having another card mail out to me on Tuesday 11/21 and I should receive it on Wednesday 11/22.
I waited on hold first for 30 minutes and a second time for 15 minutes. Never spoke to a live body. This bank continues to cut services and drive impersonal automation. You can see it with the elimination of drive up windows, having to show a debit card for simple entry into the bank, to limiting the availability of "Chat" via the web and shoving a phone app down our throats. I've had it with this bank.
After talking to the associate I requested to speak with a supervisor so I can confirm everything is in order and I will get my card on 11/22. Then the supervisor delivered me the news that due to all the recent activities on my account (WHICH WERE ALL CAUSED BY THE INCOMPETENCE OF THE BOA TEAM) that it was selected to be put under review by the computer. The card will only go out after a human physically reviewed the account and gave it the approval. But since it was already late no one can do that and the supervisor can't promise that department will get to it the next day.
