LOVE Boardwalk Billy's! A staple in Matthews, NC. Great beer selection, awesome wings, oysters and snow crab. However, I'm missing the blackened grouper sandwich, which is no longer a menu option, sadly. Please consider bringing it back! And the service is always friendly and welcoming. Makes you feel right at home!
This place is awesome amazing food and wonderful people. Stopped in from NY on business and will make this a regular when I'm in town. Would recommend. Ask for Mary she is great!
Started off with poor service, it was seat yourself and several of the tables were dirty, I sat for a good 10 minutes before someone asked me if I'd been helped. Crab dip had big pieces of imitation crab meat in it which really turned me off. Meal was decent but the server was obviously a little overwhelmed, might have just been a bad time for a first visit. Would give it another shot maybe for lunch if I was in the area again.
1st time going there the chicken fingers were hard overcooked and the lady helping me was not that friendly then she picked my lemon up for my tea with her fingers. I could tell she had an attitude from the moment I called to place my order over the phone. I got to the location she came up to me real hyper. Next day I went back during lunch time the food tasted 10 times better and the man helping me was really nice and friendly! I am big on customer service and treating others the way I would want to be treated!!
It was very delicious on the first try but the second time food was lacking. Coming back to try something different next time
Quick update went here for a third time everything started out fine until my gf asked for a extra blue cheese for her hot wings (they only gave her 1 for 10 wings) the bartender charges her .54 on her credit card for 1 blue cheese. Now we just spent 32$ on food here that’s more than a few drinks ppl buy at the bar. Ok cool the bartender charged her no problem but we get home the blue cheese is ranch!! How incompetent?? Especially when she was petty enough to charge her .54 on her credit card for a blue cheese. Last time coming here
