UPDATE: Sent my contact information twice as they requested and have heard not one word. That should give you an idea of how much they care about their customers and, in my mind, is more evidence that something shady was going on.

The reviews about this location are true. I scheduled an appointment for a Monday morning at 7 am. I arrived & the rep said they never schedule appointments that early on Mondays! He did not apologize! He did not try to further assist. He said "my tech will be here around 7:30-7:45." I had my toddler with me $ was very absent that my time wasn't considered! The manager offered an oil change AFTER I called corporate. I refused! Not even a free service will make me frequent that location!

I wanted to buy 4 new tires. I went online and selected the tires and scheduled an appointment for 11:00 on a Saturday at this Pep Boys. I arrived early and talked to the desk person whom we will call “Nicole” about perhaps just getting 2 new tires. An aside about Nicole; she has not been working at that Pep Boys store for long and is planning to go back to her former dealership job. Her boyfriend yells at her. They need another car because she has to drive her boyfriend to work. Be advised, the discounts and deals that show up for you online cannot be accessed by the shop people in the store. Rather than go through the hassle of trying to get the best on-line price from their own web site, I just kept my order for the 4 new tires. These are mid-level tires, no big deal. After 2 hours, with an appointment, the tires were put on my car. They offered to do another $1200 worth of service they said I needed to do, especially my brakes. The other desk person whom we will call “Greg” gave me a total that was about $20 higher than what the online total was. He adjusted it down after dropping several f-bombs to Nicole about who knows what. I don’t think it had to do with me, but again, who knows. Greg does not smile. The techs were supposed to put 1 of the old tires in my trunk since it was fairly new but did not do it. The next day I discovered that they did not put the correct tires on my car. Instead of the mid-level tires with a 65,000 mile warranty, I got the lowest level tires with no warranty. I called the shop and Greg said to bring the car it back in that day (Sunday) and they would switch the tires. I arrive to find the desk people and one of the techs splayed out in the waiting room watching TV. They took my car and began making the change. I said to Nicole that it was an inconvenience and would like a discount. I asked to speak to the manager. Nicole said the manager was not there and I would have to call corporate. I asked for the manager’s name and number so I could call the next day and was given his card. I have been through the “call corporate” routine before and it did not go well. I decided to just dispute the charge on my credit card and deal with it that way. After I did this, Nicole told me that the credit card company called and told them that I had disputed the charge and they would not let me leave until I paid. I offered to let them put the original tires back on my car, we would forget the whole thing and I would go elsewhere. However, my old tires were in the trash. I offered to call the police because I did not think it was right to keep me there over a disputed charge. I was about to do so, but decided instead to just let them charge my card again and dispute it again so I would be allowed to leave. Being told I would be kept there was a little scary. Time passed and I asked Nicole if I could speak with Greg again because I wanted to know what was going on with my car. This time, she told me Greg was on the phone with the manager and the manager’s manager. Now, I guess, there is someone who can work with me on this. Greg comes back in, gives me $50 for my trouble and tells me I am free to leave. The charge for the tires is still a disputed charge, so I’m not sure what is going to happen there. They did put the correct tires on this time. Was it fraud? Did they try to sell me 1 set of tires and put a cheaper set on the car? I don’t know. Would they actually hold me there until I paid what they wanted me to pay? A scary, 2-day ordeal for a set of tires. You guys have my phone number and address in your records. Feel free to contact me to discuss if you want to. But if the “Pep Boys Way” holds true to form, I don’t expect I will hear from you.

I purchased 5 little synthetic oil can and ask Pep boys to change it in my Civic. They did and when i asked where is the can i need thT 1 liter because Civic takes onky 4 liter. Guess what they put all 5 liter in the car. I was shocked to find that out. Even a dumbest mechanic knows that civic only take 4 liter. They guy went back and talked to mechanic he looked pissed removed all all from my car and this time put back 4 in it. I wasn't mad at themnor anything. Ok we r human we do mistakes. Worse part now. After few months my next oil change i went to Honda of Concord for oil change, they told me someone over tight your oil pan screw and oil pan is made of aluminum, now they are charging me $1000 to fix it.. so that guy at Pep Boys who looked pissed i was watching him when he was changing oil 2nd time... i will never ever go back there. Don't get me wrong front desk guys were nice and friendly and professional way to talk to customer. But i ain't going back there.

DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!!!! I had a horrible experience at this location. These people will try to rip you off for your hard earned money and not think twice about it. Do not and I repeat do not go to this place, they were suppose to charge my air conditioning system in my truck or tell me what I needed to do before we got into a extremely high bill. We specifically talked about it and if it couldn't be done to contact me before they went any further. Not only did they try to charge me $300 but they did not fix a thing,my a.c. is still not blowing cold and they charged me $150 for nothing. A total rip off, they don't do business with integrity,I was very upset and I will not let this rest. I will be reporting them to the corporate office and the better business Bureau. The worst experience I've ever had with a Pep Boys. They are not honest people and nothing good will happen for people like that.

Never go here. Took my Jeep in for a tune up and an engine diag to determine if I needed a new fuel pump. Communication was horrible. I brought my car in on a Saturday. Was told on Thursday of the next week that the tune up and fuel pump would be put in on Friday. Was told over the phone that the car was ready on Sunday. Came to pick it up and was told no one even touched the car and no work was done at all. Seriously wouldn't reccomend this location to anyone. Unbelievable.
