We've never had anything here that wasn't excellent! The beef brisket melts in your mouth & the mac & cheese is heavenly. When the muffins hit the table grab one fast, they won't last long!! We even buy the mix to make them at home. At least once you need to do dessert first, so you can experience the banana pudding. You can always take part of your entree home for later, something we've done a couple of times. If you're looking for good, home-cooked, comfort food, with an excellent bourbon selection, look no further than Jim 'n Nick's.
If you don't like Jim and Nick's you're doing life wrong. Those cheddar biscuits have crack in them. Staff is courteous and prompt. Wide variety of all your BBQ needs, also they have ginger beer drinks... life is complete!
By far the best BBQ I've had. The ribs literally fell off the bone and the brisket is juicy and tender. They even give you an option for fatty or lean. Definitely go for the fatty for the best flavor. Even the BBQ sauce is tasty. Only 4 stars because the cornbread was nasty and the sides are so-so, but if you want tender smoked meat, this is the place to go.
The only negative I have is that the 3 times I've used the drive-thru, they have messed up my order all 3 times. However, in all 3 cases the manager made it right. One time I was hosting and really needed the food I had ordered, so he drove it to my home and brought a free dessert! I would recommend checking your to-go bag before driving off though.
Food is absolutely delicious. I ordered brisket (asked for it to be lean, and it was trimmed VERY well), sausage, and mac & cheese. It came with 3 giant sausages, which was way too much food, but made for a nice lunch the next day. They were spicy and very flavorful. Someone else at my table ordered the spare ribs, and said that they may be the best ribs he's ever had.
Our server was very busy (the rush came before the dinner staff had arrived), but she was very attentive, made good suggestions, and was working very hard to keep up.
Love it. We will usually bring our out of town guests here for some good bbq. Hot links and brisket are my favorite. I have been here quite a few times and it never fails me. Good food and good sauce.
