Looked for local specials and Sydney's popped up should have known by the already dissatisfied customers that this was not going to be it! Placed a reservation based off the websites enticing specials and something told me to call ahead to confirm (which isn't something that I feel is needed if a restaurant has a website) and there it is "No we don't do that anymore" - Manager said. No offer to add new specials or anything, so after asking what do you all have tonight "well....(pause) we can do $7 dollar Long Islands - we don't even have flatbread anymore" very dry and unforgiving. Needless to say cancelled the reservation.
Awesome show outstanding buff Dillard get a chance check them out Sydney's is off the hook off the chain no joke food is awesome I'll go back
Visiting from out of town. Good crowd for a Saturday evening. New band was playing. Drinks were good. Interesting selection of Martin's. Didn't order food so no comment there. Service was fairly attentive . Nice spot for a chilled Saturday evening
So... I've been to this spot several times, and they were decent. I have attempted to contact this establishment multiple times for multiple events, and they never answer the phone... I've tried calling at 4pm, a non busy hour, left voicemail messages, and went on the website to request contact. They've never responded... EVER! I attempted to send an email to the email address attached to be contacted by an event coordinator and once again, I successful. The email was actually returned. I always try to support African American establishments, but I swear the unprofessionalism displayed here, will definitely prevent me and my friends and family from supporting this bar in the future.
Visiting from out of town with the wife; this is a hole in the wall masquerading as an upscale jazz and martini bar, my wife and I were VERY unimpressed, very limited seating, overpriced drinks, $5 band cover and the band didn't even play before we left. We love to support black owned businesses but they need to do better. 1 Star because the drinks were good, but that's it.
