I took my daughter to the dentist today, the hygienist seemed unhappy and did not greet us with a smile, which made my daughter more nervous for her first dental appointment. She was irritated when she brushed my daughter's teeth and saw my daughter cried. I understood that she can get frustrated when kids are crying，however, I think she could have handled it better. Her cool and unpleasant face made my daughter cry much more.
They still use MERCURY fillings for kids! Insane. I asked them to do composite instead but the dentist said it was impossible because of the location of the tooth. I took her to another dentist who said that’s nonsense. He filled her tooth with composite. He also said he never uses mercury anymore. It should be a crime to poison children with mercury now that we know better.
We have recently moved to Lake Norman and I wouldn't go anywhere else!!! We drive over an hour to see Dr Bird and her amazing staff! The facility is clean and so kid friendly. My boys get excited to go to the dentist! Dr Bird is patient, caring, knowledgable and also a very proactive dentist. My boys are so comfortable and thats the most important part!
Dr. Bird cares about her patients and spends as much time as a parent needs. The staff is always kind and goes above and beyond the call of duty. Laughing gas is optional for children if under going treatment. I find as a parent to use it so my child is more comfortable. NOT over priced... YOU PAY FOR THE QUALITY OF SERVICE YOU WANT! Very satisfied. Thank you Dr. Bird and staff for all you do for children and teens.
Horrible experience she recommended my son has crowns in his mouth at 3 years old, it was done as outpatient ..completely unnecessary knowing what I know now, they were baby teeth!! She then wanted to crown one of his front teeth on another visit. I finally went to another dentist who had to remove one of the crowns due to infection and his front tooth didn’t even have a cavity!!
