I've been staying here a few times a year for 4 years now and have never had any significant issues. I like the location .... light rail nearby and food options are decent within walking distance. Staff is friendly and I feel safe staying there. My travel companions have all been satisfied as well. 5 stars given for delivering on better than what you would expect compared to other properties at this price point. Very good value. It would be nice if you could shuttle Amtrak users to the station like you do the airport .... only issue I can present.
This is one of the best places to stay in Charlotte. My sister and I stay here every time I have to visit my physician. The employees are great, motel is clean and convenient to eating and shopping.
Clean. Good location. Nice staff. Internet is worthless. Couldn't even stay on long enough to check email through work laptop. They encouraged me to call the tech support line, which is not my job. If Internet is important to you, I would look elsewhere.
For the price this hotel is pretty decent. Location is good. It is close to many restaurants and fast food places. Close to a couple of professional work places. The breakfast is your typical hotel food. Fruit, juice, cereal, and waffles. The internet is Super Slow so don't think you will get any work done or watch any shows. The lobby has this weird mall not sure if it's all of the smokers that constantly come in and out. The room is surprisingly clean however the heater and air condition does not work well. If your room faces the street you will get no sleep due to all of the loud people outside at night because of all the restaurants close by. Also your walls are super thin so you can hear everything in the halls...
Manager called after the stay and tried to charge me extra when my Son stayed with me. He was with me at check in, I asked for two beds and never heard a word about extra charges. He became belligerent with me, told me to stay elsewhere and did not care about my business. I have never been treated so rudely by a hotel employee in my life. Go stay somewhere else, there are plenty of other run down hotels nearby that would be happy to have your business.
