Will definitely be staying here in the future! Was very satisfied with my stay! Great location, friendly staff, and spacious rooms.
The events I was going to were in downtown Charlotte, but the hotels in downtown are expensive plus you have to pay extra for parking. Comfort Suites University is a 10-minute drive to downtown at a lower price and parking is free. My room was clean and modern with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. It is set far back from the road so you don't have to deal with vehicle noise. The distance from the road makes it hard to find on your first approach to the hotel. There is an inconspicuous, small sign for the hotel posted below the Enterprise Car Rental sign. You'll probably miss it the first time and have to turn around. There are many restaurants a mile or less from the hotel but I would not recommend walking. The street is not pedestrian friendly. If I have another event in Charlotte, I will probably stay at this hotel again.
Upon arrival I was greeted by the front desk person I can't remember the name but very nice. The maintenance on this property is pretty good. The atmosphere is very welcoming and check out was 11am. They let me stay a little extra after that though. The breakfast in the morning starts at 630 and it was hot fresh and ready. Literally eggs, sausage, biscuits gravy. Only thing was the towels were a little hard they need to be softer.
The rooms were clean and there were nice helpful staff. Only dirty thing was window had dead flies around it. My mom hated that the only smoking area was outside in the front.
They were horrible, rude, and absolutely awful. The owner is awful. Do not spend your money here.
