National selection for Emerald Isle has fallen way off. An entire isle of mostly the same car. The speed of service has been solid especially on the return. The drive-out booth could use some customer service training but they are OK. The virtual isle checkout feature of the National Car app is good and speeds up the checkout process when it works which is improving.
When travel issues arise with hotels or airlines, I know that I can at least rely on National to ensure that my car rental goes smoothly.
Excellent service with an amazing selection of cars. Car selection appears to be much better compared to other agencies with same price point. When I recently rear-ended in one of their vehicles the process of reporting the vehicle damage and details was very smooth and convenient.

I'm an Emerald Club member, which makes renting from National really easy. I hadn't been to CLT in a while, and was very pleased with the new rental car set-up. It was so easy to get my vehicle (which was a Grand Cherokee just like I drive at home) even with my 7-year-old, infant, and all the accompanying stuff we were lugging. The car was great and returning was simple. Everyone was really helpful. Will definitely use them again and would recommend.

I love dealing with National Car Rental. I've had many bad experiences with other rental companies, but I can't think of a single issue I've had with National. The condition of the vehicles and the convenience of the Emerald Aisle (bypass the counter and pick the car I want) make them my automatic first choice in all rental situations. When I do interact with their staff, it's always professional.
