Always a pleasure dealing with the crew at Ultimate Bicycle. Been going to this bike shop since I moved to Charlotte 2 years ago and every time I walk into this shop, I'm greeted by name. They're honest and truly want what's best for the customer!
I asked how much to swap a set of petals for me, and he said no charge, and offered to swap out the grips quick while they were at it.
Best bike shop in town, hands down. Personable staff, knowledgeable and helpful, other bike shops just don't compare.
He had another customer ask him about some bike options and excused himself to help him.
Pleasant experiences like this make me a loyal patron. I will be back when I need accessories, or maybe one of those awesome full suspension bikes! ;)

I walked in to find some new grips for my mtn bike. I was greeted by a friendly staff member who showed me where they were. He explained a little about the differences in their selection, and made some pleasant small talk about MN/WI since I just moved down in April.
While I was admiring some of the full suspension bikes another staff member asked if I needed any help. I found some sale items and one of them was a sweet set of grips. He said it's all 50% off. I was more than happy to get a $30 set of locking grips for $15.
What a great experience. Came with my daughter to get sized and then returned later to buy the bike as a gift. Someone took the training wheels off and tightened all the important components. Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone (novice or expert). The only thing I noticed was that the white handle was dirty and greasy from the techs working on the bike. For a $200.00 bike I would have preferred the bike to be 100% clean but understood why it got dirty just something to note.
